About This Guide

This guide is intended to help European scholars plan, fund, and conduct their research and to get the most out of their stay in Washington, DC. We have organized this guide with first-time European visitors in mind, dividing it into sections on research opportunities, tips for advance planning, and basic amenities in the city.

We, the Artivists, are master's degree students in the University of Maryland's College of Information Studies who have various backgrounds in fine arts, literature, and European languages. We hope you find this guide useful, and we welcome comments and suggestions. Send them to us by clicking on the "Comments" link above.
